Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

Atlantic City, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced the acquisition of forward Alexandre Jacques from Toledo in exchange for forward John Longo and defenseman Danny Eberly. Jacques is currently on loan to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League and will not join the Bullies until next week at the earliest.

Jacques, 26, comes to Atlantic City after leading Toledo with 24 goals and 47 points in just 41 games. He led the Storm in goals, points, power play goals, and plus-minus ratio at the time of the trade. Jacques is a former 6th round draft choice of the Detroit Red Wings in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. The Laval, PQ native has spent his entire ECHL career in Toledo, serving as captain of the Storm for the past three years. His career numbers include 104 goals and 122 assists in 7 professional seasons.

"Alexandre is a dynamic two-way player, perhaps the best two-way player in the league," said Head Coach Mike Haviland. "To have the opportunity to make him a part of our roster as we defend the Kelly Cup was one we felt that we couldn't pass up on."

Longo had 6 goals and 13 points for the Bullies in 39 games. Eberly ranked as the third leading scorer among Bullies defensemen with 2 goals and 14 points in 52 games. A former 8th round draft choice of the New York Rangers in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Eberly was one of three RPI alumni on the Bullies roster joining center Jim Henkel and defenseman Steve Munn.

"John and Danny are both great people and great professionals," continued Haviland. "I thank them for their hard work, and I wish both of them the best of luck."

In other transactions, defenseman Chad Dameworth returned to the Bullies today after being released from his AHL tryout agreement with Manchester. Rookie forward Paul Falco has also been activated from the 7-day injured reserve and is expected to make his Bullies debut tomorrow in Johnstown.

The Bullies travel to Johnstown to battle the Chiefs at 7PM Saturday at the War Memorial followed by a Sunday 1:05PM matinee at the Sovereign Center against the Reading Royals. Catch all the action live on ESPN Radio 1450 and the Surfer Network at www.boardwalkbullies.com.
