
Colorado Holds on 2-1 over Utah

West Valley City Utah - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Utah Grizzlies 2-1 Saturday night at Budweiser Events Center.
The loss snapped Utah's three game winning streak and dropped them to 4-2-0-2 in their last eight games.
Utah got on the board 4:43 into the third period to make it 2-1 as Jacob Johnston fired in a puck from the perimeter after Barry Almeida and Michael Pelech forced a turnover.
The Grizzlies controlled the final 10 minutes of the contest and used their timeout with 55 seconds left and an extra-attacker, but they were unable to score.
The Eagles took a 2-0 lead after one period as they scored a power-play goal at 5:50 of the opening frame and then got a deflection with 3:57 left in the first period.
Utah goaltender and Ducks prospect Ryan Faragher capped off his stellar week by stopping 24 of 26 shots to keep Utah within distance all night. Faragher stopped 73 of 76 over the week logging a 2-1 record.
Utah is next in action Friday in Stockton at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday in Bakersfield at 8:00 p.m.
The Grizzlies are back home Monday, December 1 with Idaho at 7 p.m. for another Maverik Monday. Fans presenting their Maverik Adventure Club Card will get tickets buy one get one free.
