Quotes
"It was huge weekend for us I think. We earned 6 points and I think we can build off these performances, keep getting better and continue winning." - Shane Owen on his overview of the weekend three-peat over Bakersfield
"It's part of the game. I knew it was coming after it happened early but I just know I have to keep my head in the game, stay solid and continue to see the puck well. It's something I always expect as a goalie but I just stay focused and the game will take care of itself." - Owen on Bakersfield's intense drives to the net
"They're one of our biggest rivals. The heat always builds up between us, especially when you play them four games in a row like this. It makes it fun to battle with them." - Ryan Constant on the physicality and heated play between the Thunder and the Condors
"Every game with them is a 4-point game if you think about it. It's a division rival and we learn a lot about them the more we see them. It's already developed into a really heated rivalry and I think this was a great time for us to get to play them coming off a tough string of road games coming home and we've responded well." - Head Coach Rich Kromm on the rivalry between Stockton and Bakersfield and how they've dealt with that emotion so far
"I think they're trying to get as much traffic in front of the net as they can. It's something we talk about as well but I think there's a fine line between what's appropriate and what's not and on that last goal, Shane [Owen] had no chance to make the save. But it's really just a part of the game." - Coach Kromm on the physical play in front of Owen
"He played a great game. He's got a great even temperament and he doesn't allow himself to get rattled. It's important for a goaltender, maybe more than anybody else, to remain level headed and he does a great job in that department. He was our best penalty killer tonight and continues to play well this year." - Coach Kromm on Owen's ability to maintain his confidence and play through some chippy plays
