April 21, 2019 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release
The Salt Lake pitching staff allowed a franchise record tying six home runs, as the Sacramento River Cats downed the Bees 9-6 on Saturday.
Salt Lake used the long ball to take a 2-0 lead in the first on solo homers by Matt Thaiss and Jared Walsh. It was 2-1 going into the second when Jarrett Parker tripled and scored on a ground out by Wilfredo Tovar, but Sacramento tied the game in the bottom of the second on a two run homer by Zach Green. The River Cats would take the lead in the third on a solo shot by Henry Ramos and added one more in the inning to make it 5-3. Tovar delivered and RBI single in the 6th to get Salt Lake back within one, but that was as close as they would get the rest of the way. Sacramento would end up with ten hits with only one single.
Bees starter Parker Bridwell (0-1) took the loss, as he went four and one-third innings and allowed five runs on six hits with six strikeouts and one walk in his first start of the season. Tovar led the Bees with two hits and three runs batted in, while Walsh added two hits and one RBI.
