Canadiens Assign Tom Pyatt And Yannick Weber To Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Tom Pyatt and defenceman Yannick Weber have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from Montreal. Both players are scheduled to join the team in Glens Falls, New York for the 'Dogs game against the Adirondack Phantoms tonight.

Weber, 21, has played in 24 games with the Bulldogs this season posting six points (one goal, five assists) and 24 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 193-pound defenceman played in three games with the Canadiens earlier in the season but was held pointless. The native of Zurich, Switzerland was drafted by Montreal in the 3rd round, 73rd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Pyatt, 22, was recalled to the Canadiens on November 4th and played in 19 games with the club but was held pointless. In 11 games with the 'Dogs this season, the native of Thunder Bay, Ontario has registered nine points (six goals, three assists) and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot 185-pound centre played in 73 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season earning 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists) along with 22 penalty minutes. Pyatt was drafted by the Rangers in the 4th round, 107th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
