Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
Glens Falls, NY - The Hamilton Bulldogs earned their eighth shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory over the Adirondack Phantoms. Cedrick Desjardins earned his fifth shutout and extended his shutout streak to 125 minutes and 14 seconds while David Desharnais extended his goal-scoring streak to five games.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 19:12 of the opening frame. Greg Stewart received the puck from J.T. Wyman before firing a wrist shot on net. The puck trickled through the legs of Adirondack starting goaltender John Grahame. The âDogs took a 2-0 lead with a shorthanded marker at 19:48. Desharnais dished the puck to Brock Trotter, who one-timed a shot past a sprawling Grahame.
Desharnais added Hamilton's third goal at 14:09 of the third period. Mike Glumac passed the puck to Desharnais, who ripped a shot that sailed over Grahame and into the top of the Phantoms' net. 21 seconds seconds later, Ben Maxwell scored. While positioned at the side of the net, Maxwell sent a pass into the crease. The puck bounced off Grahame and slid into the back of the net.
