Avoid Holiday Rush; Buy Amerks Tickets Early

(Rochester, NY)... With only eight shopping days left until the Rochester Americans game on Saturday, December 26th, the team is informing local hockey fans to buys tickets early for the game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Rochester will host Hamilton at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena that night with a season-high crowd expected to cheer on the first-place Amerks.
"With the holidays next week, we encourage all fans interested in coming to our game on Saturday to buy their tickets in advance," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "Lines at the box office have approached an hour in length at recent home games, with some fans missing nearly the entire first period. We anticipate a very big crowd and the box office line to purchase tickets may be even longer."
The past five Amerks home games played on December 26th have averaged nearly 7,100 fans per game and rank among the highest attended games in the respective seasons. The attendance will also get a boost from the team's first "Dollar Dogs 'N' Drafts" promotion.
The Amerks, Zweigle's, Savor Catering, and SMG have teamed up to offer fans Zweigle's Hot Dogs and 14 oz. Draft Beers for just $1.00 each. The limit per trip to the window is two beers and four dogs. The promotion runs from 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. so don't get caught in line waiting to purchase a ticket. Fans can order tickets through amerks.com, Ticketmaster.com, the House of Guitars, Ticket Express or by calling the Amerks Office at (585) 454-5335 or by ordering by phone through Ticktetmaster at 1-800-745-3000.
Fans can also purchase tickets at The Blue Cross Arena but there are only five days left before Christmas to come downtown to buy Amerks tickets for the December 26th contest. The Blue Cross Arena Box Office is open tonight from 11:00 a.m. to the end of the second period of the Amerks-Hershey Bears game. Then on Saturday, December 19th, the box office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During the holiday week, The Blue Cross Arena Box Office will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday, December 21st to Wednesday, December 23rd.
Fans can avoid the lines all season long by purchasing one of three partial season ticket plans: the 20-game Freedom Package, 12-game Plan or the Amerks 10 Pack. The 20 and 12-game packages offer a reserved seat to the selected number of remaining home games on this year's schedule. The Amerks 10 Pack offers 10 unreserved ticket vouchers redeemable in any quantity for any remaining 2009-10 Amerks regular season home games. All three plans offer a Calder Cup Playoff Ticket Discount option.
