Suarez helps River Cats shut down Rainiers

April 21, 2018 - TACOMA, WA - Five shutout innings from starter Andrew Suarez paved the way for the Sacramento River Cats (7-9) to defeat the Tacoma Rainiers (8-8) 8-4 in game one of this four-game set. The Rainiers did push across three runs in the sixth inning thanks to three singles and a throwing error by shortstop Chase d'Arnaud, putting one earned run on Suarez's line for the night. But D.J. April 20, 2018 - SALT LAKE CITY, UT - After building a six-run lead, the wheels fell off for the Sacramento River Cats (6-8) as three different pitchers combined to allow eight runs in the sixth inning during a 10-7 loss to the Salt Lake Bees (9-6). April 18, 2018 - SALT LAKE CITY, UT - The Sacramento River Cats (5-7) dropped the series opener to the Salt Lake Bees (8-5) by a score of 12-3 Tuesday night, thanks to four Bees home runs. Mac Williamson hit his sixth homer of the year, but it was not nearly enough. The Bees used four home runs to drive in eight of their 12 runs this evening, bringing their home run season total to 22, good for first in the Pacific Coast League. April 16, 2018 - ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Pacific Coast League announced Monday that Sacramento River Cats outfielder Mac Williamson and Nashville Sounds right-hander James Naile have been named the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the extended season-opening period of April 5-15.
