Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Albuquerque Isotopes held their last of two Youth Skills Clinics today at Isotopes Park. Led by Manager Lorenzo Bundy, hitting coach Franklin Stubbs, pitching coach Glenn Dishman, strength and conditioning coach Travis Smith, pitchers Red Patterson, Angel Castro, Anthony Ortega, Steve Smith, Luis Vasquez and Kelvin De La Cruz, infielder Brian Barden, outfielders Matt Angle and Chili Buss with catchers Stephen Cilladi and Damaso Espino were on hand to teach over 160 participants the fundamentals. The 160-plus attendees marked the most in the eleven-year history of the clinic.

The Isotopes and McDonald's partnered for another fun-filled season which again included two Youth Skills Clinics put on by your Topes players and coaches. Boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 signed up for each clinic. Each child who signed up received instruction from Isotopes players and coaches, an Isotopes hat, post-clinic lunch provided by McDonald's and two Reserved Level ticket vouchers.

Between the two clinics in 2013, the Isotopes were able to help teach nearly 300 children some important baseball skills and are ready to continue the trend. In the team's history, the Isotopes have hosted more than 2,000 kids for their always-popular and ever-informative clinics.
