Today's Game: The RedHawks close out their four-game series in Las Vegas and will aim for a split when they meet the 51s at 9:05 p.m. central time.

Last Game: The RedHawks tied a season low for a nine-inning game with just three hits in a 4-1 loss to Las Vegas Saturday at Cashman Field. 51s starting pitcher Rafael Montero (4-3) hurled seven innings and allowed just one run and two hits. He struck out a season-high nine and walked two. The RedHawks struck out 11 times and put just one runner in scoring position. Their only run came via a George Springer solo homer in the first inning. The lead was short-lived, though, as Kirk Nieuwenhuis led off the bottom of the inning with a solo shot to tie things up. Brandon Hicks broke the tie with a two-run, two out single in the sixth, and Matt den Dekker's RBI single in the eighth extended Las Vegas' lead to 4-1. RedHawks starting pitcher Jake Buchanan (4-3) allowed three runs and seven hits over six innings and picked up the loss.

Today's Probable Pitcher: David Martinez is set to make his Triple-A and RedHawks debut...Martinez was having a stellar season with Double-A Corpus Christi, going 14-2 with a 2.02 ERA...He currently is tied for the overall Minor League lead in wins and has set a new Corpus Christi single-season club record...His 2.02 ERA paces the Texas League (seventh overall in Minors), as does his 1.00 WHIP (sixth overall in Minors). His 129.1 IP is fourth in the TL and his 1.3 walks per nine innings are second-lowest. He also holds a 4.3 strikeout-to-walk ratio...Martinez has won each of his past four starts. He has turned in five straight quality starts, going 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA, pitching at least seven innings each time...He was named Corpus Christi Pitcher of the Month for both June and July and since the All-Star Break is 4-1 with a 1.92 ERA over seven starts...In his last start Tuesday against Northwest Arkansas, Martinez allowed two runs and eight hits over 8.1 IP to capture his 14th win. It was the second time in three starts he at least pitched into the ninth inning...In his two losses combined, Martinez allowed two runs and seven hits over 12.0 IP. The Hooks were shutout each time.

Against the 51s: 2013: 1-2 2012: 1-2 All-time: 36-42 In LAS: 19-24

Las Vegas held the RedHawks to one run for the fourth time in their last six meetings Saturday. Over the past two seasons combined, the RedHawks are batting just .161, including .179 during the current series...In the last six seasons, the teams split their season series three times and Las Vegas won the other three times...Last year Las Vegas won a rain-shortened series, 2-1, in Oklahoma City. The RedHawks were limited to one run in each game and batted .143 for the series...Things were a bit different during OKC's last trip to Las Vegas, Aug. 3-6, 2011. The teams combined for 62 runs over four games, and the RedHawks hit .314.

More Moves: The recent flurry of roster transactions continues today. Outfielder Trevor Crowe has completed his rehab assignment, but he will remain with the club after being optioned by the Astros. Relief pitcher Patrick Urckfitz will also join the team from Double-A Corpus Christi. Over 40 appearances with the Hooks, Urckfitz is 6-3 with seven saves and a 3.20 ERA.

30/30 Vision: With last night's home run, George Springer is currently tied with Andrew Lambo of the Indianapolis Indians for the overall Minor League home run lead with 31 dingers. On Friday Springer became the first player in the Minors to hit 30 home runs and steal at least 30 bases since former Oakland Athletics farmhand Grant Desme did so in 2009 (31 HR/40 SB). Springer currently has 38 stolen bases (15 with OKC and 23 with Corpus Christi).

As the Crowe Flies: Trevor Crowe is batting .462 (18x39) with three RBI during a 10-game hitting streak and now is hitting .388 (19x49) over 13 games since rejoining the team. Crowe also had a team-best 15-game hitting streak, April 6-21. He and Jimmy Paredes are the only two RedHawks this season two have two hitting streaks of at least 10 games...The RedHawks are 19-4 when Crowe leads off this season.

Hip Hip, Jose: Jose Martinez had his streak of four straight multi-hit games come to an end last night, but he did draw a pair of walks. He has reached base safely in 11 of his last 17 plate appearances and is 9-for-16 with six RBI over his last five games.

Opening Acts: David Martinez will become the sixth starting pitcher to make his team debut this season. In the previous outings, the five pitchers combined to go 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA. The last RedHawks starting pitcher to make his debut in Las Vegas was Dallas Keuchel on August 4, 2011. Now a member of the Astros starting rotation, Keuchel allowed 11 runs and 12 hits over 3.1 IP.

Glove Connection: The RedHawks have not committed an error in four straight games and have committed just one error over their past eight contests. Their .980 fielding percentage is tied for second in the PCL.

RISPy Business: Over the first 11 games of the now-completed 12-game winning streak, the RedHawks batted .349 (38x109) with runners in scoring position. Over the past four games they have combined to go just 4-for-33, and last night they did not have a runner reach scoring position until the ninth inning.

Dinger Details: The RedHawks have homered in a season-best four straight games for the first time since July 12-19 (includes All-Star Break). However, the pitching staff has allowed at least one home run in four straight games for the first time since allowing homers in eight straight, June 9-16.

Closing Bell: Oklahoma City is 19-10 overall in series finales this season, but is just 6-8 in the final game of a road series.
