
Wranglers top Roadrunners, 3-1

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers (25-6-3, 53 points) defeated the Phoenix Roadrunners (9-20-2, 40 points) 3-1 in front of 4,877 fans at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 25 saves for the Wranglers for his league-leading 16th win of the year. Forwards Sean O'Connor and Chris Stanley each had a goal and an assist. Defenseman Christian Chartier also scored as Las Vegas improved to 13-1-2 at home this season. The Wranglers will host the Stockton Thunder on Saturday night at Orleans Arena at 7:05 (PST).
In the first period, forward Christian Chartier scored the opening goal at 18:19 off of a power play. Steve Crampton and Scott Schoneck set up Chartier's second goal of the season for the 1-0 Las Vegas lead.
The Wranglers extended their lead to 2-0 when Sean O'Connor scored his third goal of the season at 6:42 of the third period. O'Connor's goal came in his first game back after a 23-game stint in the injured reserve list. Phoenix cut the lead to 2-1 with 1:43 left as Roadrunners' forward Joe Dusbabek scored his fourth goal of the year. Las Vegas center Chris Stanley scored his team-leading 16th goal of the season with 24 seconds remaining in the game for the 3-1 final score.
Stockton will be at the Orleans Arena on Saturday, January 7th at 7:05 pm. Before the game on Saturday, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at the Orleans Arena. Also, on Saturday the 7th, fans can watch Big Elvis and his performances between periods. Also on Saturday, January 7th, the Wranglers will conduct a school supply drive with all donations going to Sunrise Acres Elementary, the Wranglers focus school.
Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
