The South Carolina Stingrays rode the momentum stemming from a five-goal second period en route to a 6-3 win over the Augusta Lynx on Saturday night at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.

Joel Perrault opened the scoring with the first period's lone goal at 12:25 from Anthony Battaglia and Sam Ftorek, but South Carolina came back with five goals in the second period interspersed with markers from Joel Stepp and Perrault's second of the night to make it a 5-3 game after two periods of play.

In the third, Augusta was held to just two shots on goal while Evan Schwabe's second goal of the night provided the icing on the cake in the loss.

Mike Wall turned aside 29 shots for the loss while Maxime Daigneault made 22 saves for the win. South Carolina finished 1-for-1 on the power play while the Lynx went 0-for-2.

Augusta will wrap up Country and Western Weekend against the Gwinnett Gladiators in a Sunday matinee contest at 4:05 pm. Sunday's game will also feature Dino's Chicago Express Weiner Dog Races and a Post-Game Party at the Cotton Patch.
