
Wranglers Get Limpright in Four-Team Trade

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team has acquired left wing Shawn Limpright in a four-team trade involving Dayton, Peoria, and South Carolina. Limpright has been assigned to Las Vegas from the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL as part of the deal.
The 23-year old Limpright entered his third professional season after playing the last two years in Roanoke. This season in 29 games with the Dayton Bombers, the left wing has five goals and nine assists for 14 points. The St. Adolphe, MAN native also racked up 63 penalty minutes. Limpright has played 164 games for his career, scoring 46 goals and assisting on 54 others for 100 points. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder also has 383 penalty minutes. Limpright played with Wranglers defenseman Deryk Engelland in Moose Jaw of the WHL from 1998-2002. Limpright is expected to be in Las Vegas on Thursday evening and is likely to see action this weekend.
In the four-team trade Las Vegas sent center Rejean Stringer to Peoria for future considerations on December 7th, 2004. Defenseman Trevor Johnson was obtained as the future consideration and then traded to the South Carolina Stingrays. In exchange for Johnson, the Stingrays sent defensemen Scott Basiuk and Aaron Forsythe to the Dayton Bombers. To complete the trade, Limpright was recalled by Columbus (NHL) and reassigned to the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Wranglers now own Limpright's ECHL rights.
The Wranglers will host a two-game home stand against the Peoria Rivermen this weekend on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm. Friday, January 7th the Wranglers will hand out 2,000 fuzzy dice. Saturday January 8th, the Wranglers will host the Port-O-Subs pre-game party from 4:00 â 6:00 pm in the parking lot of the Orleans Arena. STAR 102.7 FM will be on hand to provide live entertainment. Also, on Saturday January 8th the Wranglers will celebrate Elvis Presley's birthday by giving away 1,000 Elvis sunglasses with sideburns. The team will also wear specialty jerseys in honor of Presley. The specialty jerseys will be auctioned off during the game.
Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to the Wranglers Opening Night on November 2nd as well as all other 35 regular season home games and both pre-season games at any of the following ticket locations; The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers.
