Kinasewich and Miles Selected to National Conference All-Star Team

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that wingers Ryan Kinasewich and Jeff Miles have been named to the American Conference's All Star Team. Kinasewich, 21, is making his first ECHL All-Star appearance. The Alberta native leads the Royals in goals (12), assists (15) and points (27) in his rookie campaign. In addition, Kinasewich's seven power-play points and two game winners rank first on the Royals club. His eight multiple-point games are the most by a Royal this season. Currently, he is tied for fifth among ECHL rookies in scoring. Kinasewich earned In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week honors for the week of December 27 – January 2 posting six goals and nine points in five games. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward played major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with Tri City and Medicine Hat. His best season took place in 2002-03 when he scored 39 goals and 91 points in just 66 games, while accumulating 87 penalty minutes.

Miles, 23, is also appearing in his first ECHL All-Star Game. Currently, he is tied with Kinasewich for the team lead in goals (12) and game-winning tallies (2). Miles also has chipped in 14 assists and is second on the team in points with 26. The Pickering, Ontario native leads the Royals squad with a plus-15 plus/minus rating and is second among ECHL rookies in that category. His seven-multiple-point games are second only to Kinasewich on the Royals. He is the only Royal to post two, four-point efforts this season. Miles was named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Plus Performer of the Month in November (+11). The 6-foot, 200-pound forward is tied for seventh among rookie scorers in the ECHL. Miles finished a stellar four-year career at the University of Vermont in 2004. He appeared in 132 games for the Catamounts scored 45 goals and 127 points with 94 penalty minutes.

The Reading Royals are entering their fourth season in Reading, Pennsylvania after relocating from Columbus, Ohio. The Royals enjoyed their first Kelly Cup playoff appearance last season, claiming the Northern Division Title and were one win away from qualifying for the Kelly Cup Finals. The Royals and the City of Reading are proud to be hosting the 13th annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition presented by Coors Light on January 25 and 26.

Yuengling is handing out Royals license plate frames to the first 1,500 fans. Reading hosts division-rival Wheeling on Saturday, January 8th. St. Joseph Medical is handing out primary care kits to the first 1,500 fans through the gates. Both games face off at 7:05 p.m. ET.
