Wranglers Defeat Steelheads 3-1

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads 3-1 on Friday night in front of 5,828 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers defensemen Scott Schoneck and Christian Chartier each score power-play goals to lift Las Vegas to victory. Las Vegas forward Dan Tudin also scored for the Wranglers, becoming the first player in team history to record 100 career points. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 30 saves as the Wranglers improved to 37-9-6 on the season. The Wranglers host Idaho at 7:05 pm on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, Greg Hornby scored at 11:33 of the second period giving Idaho a 1-0 lead. Wranglers' defenseman Christian Chartier answered with a goal at 15:12 of the period tying the game at one.

In the third period, Wranglers' defenseman Scott Schoneck put Las Vegas ahead 2-1 at 5:41. Wranglers' forward Dan Tudin increased the lead to 3-1 with an empty-net goal with 16-seconds left in the game.

Las Vegas will conclude their six-game home stand with Idaho on Saturday at 7:05 pm. Saturday night fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena. Also, the Zooperstars will perform on Saturday night.
