Reimers Added to Roster

COLUMBIA, SC (February 24, 2006) - The Columbia Inferno announce that they have traded defenseman Chris Cava in exchange for defenseman Jason Reimers and a future consideration with the San Diego Gulls.

Reimers, 6'0, 185-pound Cottage Grove, Minnesota native has played 35 games with the Gulls this season. He recorded two goals and 6 assists with 119 penalty minutes. He also spent seven games this season with the Utah Grizzlies where he had one assist. Last season, he played 55 games with the Motor City Mechanics of the UHL where he had 17 points (2g-15a) and 95 penalty minutes.

During the 1997-1999 season, Reimers played for the US Junior National Team scoring 14 points (2g-12a) in 50 games with 119 penalty minutes.

The Inferno travel to play the South Carolina Stingrays tonight at 7:05pm and return home on Saturday, February 25th to face the Greenville Grrrowl at 7:30pm. Tickets are available starting at 5:30pm at the Carolina Coliseum Box Office on Saturday.
