Wolves Select Trevon Duval, Ismaila Kane in 2019 NBA G League Draft

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves, the NBA G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, today selected two players in the 2019 NBA G League Draft. Iowa selected former Duke University guard Trevon Duval with the 5th overall pick in the draft. The Wolves also drafted former Atlanta Metropolitan State College forward Ismaila Kane with the 89th overall pick in the fourth round.

Duval (6-3, 186) comes to Iowa after spending last season with the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 12.5 points and 3.7 assists per game while appearing in 39 games. A 2017 McDonald's All-American and top-rated point guard in the 2017 high school class by ESPN, Duval played one season for Duke University before declaring for the NBA Draft. Duval started in 34 games as a freshman for the Blue Devils, averaging 10.3 points, 5.6 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Kane (6-9, 220) appeared in one game last season for the Memphis Hustle. A former forward at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Kane averaged 14.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in 13 games played as a freshman.
