
Long Island Nets Acquire Three Players in 2019 NBA G League Draft

LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, acquired three players in today's 2019 NBA G League Draft and executed a trade involving their first round pick.
With the 27th overall pick in the first round, Long Island selected guard Miles Reynolds and traded his rights to the Northern Arizona Suns, along with the rights to Jeremy Senglin, in exchange for the rights to Jahmal McMurray, the 21st selection in the first round of today's draft. The trade is not subject to a physical.
McMurray (6'0, 180) played in 32 games (31 starts) for SMU last season, posting averages of 18.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 32.7 minutes per contest while shooting 44.9 percent (206-of-459) from the field. He also appeared in 22 games (14 starts) for SMU during the 2017-18 campaign. The Topeka, Kan., native previously played his freshman and sophomore seasons (2015-17) at the University of South Florida.
With the 10th pick in the second round, the LI Nets selected guard Myles Stephens, who played four seasons (2015-19) at Princeton University. Originally from Lawrenceville, N.J., Stephens recorded averages of 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 33.4 minutes per game in 27 games (26 starts) during the 2018-19 season en route to First Team All-Ivy League honors. He also earned First Team All-Ivy League honors and the Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Year award as a sophomore, as well as Second Team All-Ivy League honors as a junior.
With their third selection, the 27th pick in the fourth round, the Nets selected guard Joe Cremo. Cremo played 36 games (five starts) with Villanova as a graduate transfer during the 2018-19 season, recording averages of 4.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.6 minutes per contest. The Scotia, N.Y., native previously appeared in 100 games (68 starts) over three collegiate seasons (2015-18) at Albany, averaging 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 30.5 minutes per game.
