Wisniewski and Richmond Return, Eberly Released

NORFOLK, VA - Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced that defensemen James Wisniewski and Danny Richmond have been assigned to the team by their parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks. Additionally, the Admirals have released defenseman Danny Eberly from professional tryout (PTO).

Wisniewski was recalled by Chicago on January 31st and appeared in six games, registering two assists for two points and six penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on February 2nd at St. Louis and recorded his fist NHL career point on February 8th at Phoenix. In 44 games with Norfolk this season, Wisniewski collected five goals and 21 assists for 26 points with 50 PIM.

Richmond was recalled by the Blackhawks on January 26th, and played in seven games with Chicago, going scoreless with 11 PIM. The blueliner was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes along with a 4th round pick in 2006 for Anton Babchuk and a 4th round pick in 2007. He appeared in two games with the Admirals, scoring one goal with two PIM.

Eberly was signed to a PTO on February 2nd from Gwinnett of the ECHL. He skated in five games for Norfolk, posting a goal and three assists for four points and no PIM.
