Rewind:
Wednesday, Bruins 5 vs. Monsters 1
When Paul Healey scored on the power play in the third period, he cut the Providence Bruins lead to 2-1. But the Bruins were unfazed and cruised on to the 5-1 win. They scored four times in the third period on G Craig Kowalski, who finished the night with 28 saves. It was the second loss to the Bruins in the last four days for Lowell, who slipped behind them by nine points in the standings for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division.
Friday, Sound Tigers 7 vs. Monsters 4
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers continued to give Lowell fits this season, downing the Monsters for the seventh time in as many tries on Friday night. After a 2-2 first period, the Tigers exploded for four second period tallies to cruise to the win. The Lock Monsters bounced back with a pair in the third period, but their comeback ended with Rob Collins' second tally of the night to provide the final margin. One game remains in the season series.
