The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Jean-Francois Jacques as well as defenceman Mathieu Roy to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Jacques, 20, made his NHL debut on February 2 in Edmonton's 2-1 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.He played six games for the Oilers, going scoreless.The native of Terrebonne, Quebec has played 42 games for the Bulldogs this season, recording 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) and 83 penalty minutes.
Roy, 22, made his NHL debut on Sunday, February 12, in the Oilers 5-4 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues.The native of St. Georges, Quebec has skated in 45 games with Hamilton this season, posting 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) and 82 penalty minutes.
Hamilton's next game will take place on Wednesday, February 15th when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.Game time is 7:30 p.m.The Bulldogs have a number of promotions planned for Wednesday's game against the Marlies including announcing the Hamilton Spectator All-Decade Team as well as unveiling a new alternate jersey, which will be worn for at least one game during the 2006-07 season.In addition, the winner of the 820 CHAM The Legend's 'This is Your Sign' and 'New Year, New Cheer' contests will be announced.Further details regarding Wednesday's game will be released on Tuesday.
