Monarchs Sign Ardelan To One-Year Contract

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed defenseman Mark Ardelan to a one-year contract, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Ardelan, 22, has appeared in 37 games with the Monarchs this season and collected 21 points (7-14=21) and 26 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound native of Avonlea, Saskatchewan, signed a professional tryout agreement with Manchester on October 17, 2005 and then a second agreement on December 11, 2005.

The Monarchs head out on a four-game road trip with stops to play the Norfolk Admirals on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:15 p.m. and again on Friday, February 17 at 7:15 p.m. The team then heads to face-off with the Hershey Bears on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and then the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
