Trenton has opened the season at home in 6 of the last 7 seasons and has won the last two home openers.

By beating Greenville, it was Trenton's 1st season opening win since 2007, when they defeated Reading (10/19).

Trenton started the season 11-11 on the PK (now 12-13).

Trenton is going for its first 5-gm win streak since 3/24-4/2/10

Not Pretty But Effective

Titans struggle but drop Evansville, 4-3; Now 4-0

The Titans had to gut one out another one - this one on the road in Evansville - but improved to a perfect 4-0 on the year with a 4-3 win over the IceMen in their first ever meeting.

Luke Pither converted Marcel Nobel's short-handed steal into the game-winner just 5:12 into the third. Goalie Scott Wedgewood - while not as sharp as his last two appearances - stood his ground with 20 saves for his third win of the year.

Jacob Drewiskie and Stephen Schultz each picked up their third goal of the season, with Schultz's coming on the power play. Andy Bohmbach continued his hot play, as his assist on the Schultz tally now puts his scoring streak at four games. He is also the league leader in assists with six.

The Titans also managed a season high in shots (37) while holding the IceMen to just 23 shots - a seson low for Trenton.
