HEAD TO HEAD - This is the sixth meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Oilers. All-time, Wichita is 135-119-27 against Tulsa and 60-64-13 on the road in the series.
CAREER-HIGH - Alexis Loiseau recorded his team-leading 12th goal of the season last night. He is two goals shy of reaching his totals from last year during his rookie campaign when he notched 14 goals in Norfolk. He also added one with the Bakersfield Condors. Loiseau is third in the league in goals scored.
SPECIAL TEAMS - Wichita went 2-for-5 on Friday night against Tulsa on the man advantage while killing off all four power plays for the Oilers. At home, Wichita is 6-for-18 against the Oilers on the power play, operating at 33.3% while killing off all 19 power plays for Tulsa. Overall, Wichita is 11-for-42 on the power play (26.2%), which is first in the league and first on the penalty kill at 94.1% (48-for-51).
MOVING FORWARD - James Melindy recorded his first goal of the season last night on the power play. Melindy has eight points in 14 games this season. His career-high came last season when he recorded 25 points (6g, 17a) between Rapid City and Wheeling.
HELPERS - Macoy Erkamps assisted on James Melindy's goal last night and is now tied for third on the team with seven helpers. Landon Oslanski grabbed his fifth assist of the season and Ian Lowe notched his second.
MOON - Nathan Moon recorded an assist last night and extended his point-streak to three games (1g, 2a). He has five points in five games since being acquired from Rapid City. He is second on the team with 13 points (5g, 8a).
