Everblades Acquire Defenseman Daniel New from Stingrays

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Daniel New from the South Carolina Stingrays in exchange for future considerations.

New, 27, returns for his second stint with the Everblades, where he totaled four points in five regular season games last season, and registered five points in six postseason contests with the 'Blades last spring. The 6-1, 195-pound blueliner also logged four assists in 18 appearances with the Springfield Falcons (AHL) last season. This season, New logged three points (1g, 2a) in ten games played with the Stingrays.

New recorded nine points (2g, 7a) in 33 games played with the Binghamton Senators (AHL) during the 2014-15 season. The White Plains, New York native has totaled 36 points (6g, 30a) in 117 career AHL games split between Springfield and Binghamton. From 2008-2012, New totaled 39 career points at Providence College.
