Boston Assigns McIntyre to Atlanta

DULUTH, Ga. - The Boston Bruins of the NHL have assigned goaltender Zane Mclntyre to Atlanta, the Gladiators announced on Saturday. Mclntyre, 24, comes to the Gladiators straight from Boston where the second year pro has appeared in three games this season for the Glads' NHL affiliate. The former 6th Round pick (165th overall) of the Bruins in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft made his NHL debut back on November 8th as he started in Montreal against the Canadians and stopped 20 of 23 shots in a close 3-2 loss. The University of North Dakota product will be the first player to appear in both the NHL and the ECHL with the Gladiators in the same year since goalie Louis Domingue during the 2014-15 season. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound goaltender also made three appearances with the AHL's Providence Bruins this year and has compiled a goals-against average of 0.44 and 0.977 save percentage. The Atlanta Gladiators 14th season continues at the Infinite Energy Arena on Sunday, November 27th against the South Carolina Stingrays at 2:05 PM.
