Three Tucson Padres Named PCL All-Stars

Tucson Padres players Dean Anna, Colt Hynes and Rene Rivera were named PCL All-Stars today, as announced by Triple-A Baseball. The 26th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be held at Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada on Wednesday, July 17. The game will be televised live on MLB Network.

Infielder Dean Anna is batting .351 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs in 79 games. He has the third-highest batting average in the Pacific Coast League.

Pitcher Colt Hynes has a 2.15 ERA and a 1-0 record in 27 games with Tucson this season. Hynes is tied with Michael Olmstead of Nashville for the Pacific Coast League lead in holds (11).

Catcher Rene Rivera is hitting .338 with four home runs and 37 RBIs in 71 games. He is also second in the PCL in caught-stealing percentage (46%).

Former Tucson Padres and University of Arizona pitcher Cory Burns (Round Rock) was also named a PCL All-Star. Other former Wildcats named to the team are Brad Mills (Round Rock) and Jason Stoffel (Oklahoma City.)
