Food Drive at Kino Stadium for Victims of Recent Mexico Weather Disasters

Tucson, Ariz - (October 2, 2013) - In support of Mexican Red Cross efforts, Visit Tucson and the Tucson Padres will be collecting non-perishable food during the Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta, this Thursday-Sunday, for those impacted by the recent weather-related disasters in Mexico.
More than one million people were affected when Tropical Storm Manuel and Hurricane Ingrid hit the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of Mexico last month. Residents lost their homes and families were displaced due to severe wind, rain and flooding.
For every two non-perishable items donated, fans will receive one general admission ticket for Sunday's 2:00 p.m. doubleheader featuring, the Los Angeles Dodgers Future Stars vs. Los Yaquis de Obregon and Los Tomateros de Culiacan vs. Los Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
