
Three Grizzlies Get Call To Bridgeport

West Valley City, Utah * Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that forwards Tyler Haskins and Olivier Labelle along with defenseman Scott Ford have been recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. In addition, the Grizzlies have received defenseman Andrew MacDonald from the Sound Tigers.
The Grizzlies are the proud ECHL affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the New York Islanders.
Labelle returns to Bridgeport where he played four games at the start of the season before tallying five goals and nine assists in 16 games with the Grizzlies.
Ford returns to the AHL where he previously logged 47 games with Cleveland and Providence. At the time of his exit, the 6-foot-3 225-pound British Columbia native has one goal and 11 assists.
Haskins, who attended the New York Islanders 2007 training camp, added two goals and 15 assists in 20 games for Utah.
MacDonald, 21, joins the Grizzlies after scoring two goals and adding three assists in 19 games with Bridgeport. He signed a three-year contract with the Islanders on May 24, 2007. He was drafted by the Islanders in the sixth-round of the 2006 NHL entry draft.
The Grizzlies host Las Vegas tonight and tomorrow at the E-Center. Face-offs both evenings are scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
