The Week Ahead:

Tuesday, March 15, 2005 Vs Gwinnett -7:05 North Charleston Coliseum

Radio: ESPN Radio 910AM The Team 6:35 Air Time

This is the second game of a home and home series between these two teams. The Stingrays have won five straight games at the Coliseum. Gwinnett has a record of 5-1 this season against South Carolina. The Gladiators have scored at least six goals against the Stingrays four times this season.

At the Coliseum: Two for Tuesday, two for-one tickets and hot dogs and two dollar beers. Dodge ball tournament continues.

Friday, March 18, 2005 Vs Augusta – 7:05 North Charleston Coliseum

The Stingrays have a record of 5-4 this season against the Columbia Inferno. The Inferno has a record of 31-16-10 on the season.

At the Coliseum: March 11th is Family Fun Friday. Get 4 upper level tickets, 4 sodas, 4 hot dogs, and a family size popcorn for just $44.00. The Stingrays will wear and raffle special jerseys sponsored by Bilo and Coke.

Saturday, March 19, 2005 Vs Pee Dee – 7:05 North Charleston Coliseum

The Stingrays have a dominant record of 6-1-2 against the Pride this season. Pee Dee won the last match up between the 5-4 in a shoot out, on March fifth in Florence.

At the Coliseum: It is Post and Courier Hall of Fame Night. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive Cheer Stix courtesy of the Post and Courier, plus a new inductee into the Hall of Fame.

The Week That Was:

Tuesday, March 8, 2005 – South Carolina 4 – Texas 2

Carlyle Lewis scored the game winner for the Stingrays and Justin Eddy made 29 saves in the win as the Stingrays beat the Wildcatters for the second straight game.

Friday, March 11, 2005 – South Carolina 3 – Augusta 1

Matt Reid scored the game winner for the Stingrays and Justin Eddy made another 29 saves in the win. The fourth straight home win for the Rays.

Saturday, March 12, 2005 – South Carolina 8 – Louisiana 2

Joe Tenute, Ed Courtenay and Jeremy Stevenson each had two goals and the Stingrays went four for five on the power play. The Stingrays scored eight goals for the first time this season.

Sunday, March 13, 2005 – South Carolina 3 @ Gwinnett 6

This was the fourth time this season that the Stingrays have allowed at least four goals against the Gladiators. Jeremy Stevenson scored the 11th short handed goal of the season for the Stingrays.

The Team:

South Carolina won three games took six of eight points this week to improve its record to 32-20-8. South Carolina is tied for second place in the East Division with 72 points. The Rays are the fifth seed in the conference. At home, the Stingrays have a record of 21-6-2, but they are 11-14-6 away from the North Charleston Coliseum. The Stingrays have won five straight games at home and have seven of their final twelve games at the regular season.

The Players:

Rookie goaltender Jamie Eddie won three games this week to improve to 9-3-4 on the season with a goals against average of 2.79 and a save percentage of .924. Joe Tenute leads the Stingrays in scoring with 62 points on 27 goals and 35 assists in 56 games. He leads the team in goals with 27. Fellow rookie Rich Peverley is second on the team in goals with 24. Tenute is first among ECHL rookies in scoring, while Peverley is ranked sixth. Ed Courtenay netted his 20th goal of the season on Saturday.
