TRENTON, NJ (March 14, 2005) –The Trenton Titans today announced that have agreed to terms with rookie defenseman Blake Pickett for the remainder of the 2004-05 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Blake's a hard-nosed, stay-at-home defenseman that likes to throw his body around," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Mike Haviland. "He adds some quality depth to our defensive corps as we head down the stretch.

Pickett, 6'2", 205 lbs, comes to the Titans having just finished a four-year career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The native of Temecula, California registered 4 goals and 17 assists over 122 games with the Engineers. Pickett will wear #28 and will be in the line-up tomorrow night when the Titans face off against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:00pm.

In a separate transaction, left wing Matt Zultek has been returned from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. The fifth-year pro was held scoreless in one game with Manitoba. Zultek has recorded 25 points (11g, 14a) and 196 penalty minutes in 51 games for the Titans this season.
