
Royals Trade Greenough to Mississippi for O\'Leary

Reading, PA â The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that they have traded the rights to forward Nick Greenough to Mississippi for the rights to forward Pat O'Leary.
Pat O'Leary joins the Royals after appearing in 55 games with Pee Dee and Mississippi this season. The Plymouth, Minnesota native has 10 goals and 25 points to his credit along with 74 minutes in penalties. Prior to this season, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward spent two seasons in the United Hockey League with Kalamazoo and Quad City. In 127 games, O'Leary posted 35 goals and 72 points with 151 penalty minutes. O'Leary spent four seasons at the University of Minnesota from 1998-2002. At Minnesota, he was teammates with right wing Dan Welch currently in Manchester. He was drafted in 1998 by the Phoenix Coyotes in the third round, 73rd overall. O'Leary is traveling to Reading from Mississippi on Wednesday and expected to be in the lineup on Thursday when Reading hosts Dayton at 7:05 p.m.
Greenough appeared in 42 games with Augusta and Reading this season. He scored three goals for three points and registered 112 penalty minutes which ranked second on the Royals Club.
Reading and Peoria meet for the sixth time tomorrow night in the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m. The Royals will be wearing special St. Patty's Day Jazz Fest jerseys. The Dayton Bombers return to Reading on Thursday, March 17, St. Patty's Day. The first 1,000 children, 12-and-under, receive a Royals Frisbee courtesy of St. Joseph's Medical Center. Trenton visits Reading on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. All Star Distributing is handing out Royals car flags to the first 1,500 adults, 21-and-over.
