This is the second game of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays lost to the Gladiators 3-1 on November 14th in Gwinnett. The Stingrays have a record of 2-4 against teams outside their division. The Gladiators have a record of 10-2-1 and sit in first place in the Central Division.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays beat the Generals 3-2 in Greensboro on October 17th.
The Week That Was:
Tuesday, November 11, Stingrays 3 Vs Mississippi 6
The Sea Wolves scored two power play goals and two empty net goals in the win, which was the second straight home loss for the Stingrays. The Rays had a 2-0 lead in the game on goals by Colin Johnson and Kevin Spiewak.
Friday, November 14, Stingrays 1 @ Gladiators 3
The Gladiators scored two third period goals to beat the Rays, spoiling a 43 save performance by David Brumby. Marty Clapton managed the lone goal for the Rays in the loss.
Saturday, November 15, Stingrays 5 Vs Mississippi 4 SO
Chris Allen had two goals and Ed Courtenay had three assists to force a shoot out. Jimmy Lorentz netted the game winner in the fifth round of the shoot out for the win. This was the first game in which the Stingrays scored more than three goals on the season.
The Team:
The Rays sit in fifth place in the Southern Division with a record of 6-7. The Stingrays finished the week with a record of 1-3. South Carolina is now 4-4 at home and 2-3 on the road. The Stingrays have scored more than three goals just once this season. The team averages just 2.5 goals per game. The Stingrays have scored a power play goal in each of their last two games but have scored just 10 power play goals in their first 13 games. The Rays have had success in the first period this season, outscoring opponents 16-12 in the opening frame. In the third period, South Carolina has been outscored 13-7.
The Players:
David Brumby has 43 saves in each of his last two starts but has lost them both. He has a record of 1-3 with a goals against average of 2.30. Stingrays forward Ed Courtenay has four assists in his last three games. Marty Clapton scored two goals this week and leads the Stingrays with five goals on the season. Dave Seitz continues to lead the Rays in points with 11 on two goals and nine assists.
