Ice Pilots Continue Three Game Road Trip This Week

Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release


The Pensacola Ice Pilots posted a record of 1-2 this past week. The Ice Pilots defeated Texas on Thursday night at home 5-3. Kent Sauer, Greg Chambers, Brian Collins, Aaron Phillips and Corey Neilson scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Brian Eklund was the winning goalie stopping 36 out of 39 shots. The Ice Pilots improved their record to 2-0-1 vs. Texas this season. The Ice Pilots lost to Louisiana at home on Friday night 5-4. Brian Collins scored two goals in the game for the Ice Pilots. Aaron Phillips and Tyler Kindle also scored goals. Evgeny Konstantinov was the losing goalie. The Ice Pilots finished the weekend with a 6-1 loss at Louisiana on Sunday. Brian Collins scored the only goal in the game for the Ice Pilots :58 seconds into the game. The IceGators scored six straight goals to win 6-1. Evgeny Konstantinov was the losing goalie.

The Ice Pilots Play on the Road This Friday and Saturday night
The Ice Pilots will play at Columbus on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and will play at Texas on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots are 2-1 vs. Columbus this season. The Ice Pilots lost their season opener at home to Columbus 3-1 and defeated Columbus at home on October 24th 5-4 and on October 30th 6-2. The Ice Pilots have an all-time record of 6-2-1 vs. Columbus including a record of 4-1-1 at home and 2-1-0 on the road. The Ice Pilots have a record of 2-0-1 vs. Texas this season. The Ice Pilots defeated Texas 7-2 at home on October 25th and picked up a point in an overtime loss at Texas on November 9th 4-3. The Ice Pilots defeated ! Texas at home on November 13th 5-3.

Ice Pilots in Fourth Place
The Ice Pilots are in fourth place in the Central Division with a record of 6-5-1 for 13 points. The following are the standings of the Central Division of the Western Conference:

Ice Pilots defenseman Corey Neilson leads the team with 18 points and is the top scoring defenseman in the ECHL. Neilson is also third in the league with 15 assists and leads all defenseman with 13 assists. Brian Eklund is third in the league with 294 saves. Greg Chambers is fourth in the league in scoring among rookies with 14 points and is second among rookies with 9 assists. Chambers is also third in the league among power play points with 6. Brian Collins is sixth in the league among rookies in scoring with 9 points. Jean Francois Soucy leads all rookies with 15 minor penalties.

The Ice Pilots next home game is Tuesday, November 25th vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. It is Nextel Holiday Food Drive and a Lady Turkey Shoot will take place. Fans who bring three or more nonperishable food items to the game will receive $3 off any ticket to the game and also a Nextel, Manna Food Drive, Ice Pilots Rally Towel. The Ice Pilots will play home on the day after Thanksgiving vs. Louisiana on Friday, November 28th at 7:05 p.m. It is Hooter's Night. The Ice Pilots will play home on Sunday, November 30th vs. Mississippi at 5:05 p.m. It is Kids Day. The first 1,000 fans will receive megaphones sponsored by the Ice Pilots and Pensacola Pelicans.

Ice Pilots in the Community
Four Ice Pilots players will be speaking to kids at Gulf Breeze Elementary School this Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Iceman will be at Corry Station on Friday, at Tate High School for the Harvest Walk on Saturday and at the Fairgrounds on Sunday for Heritage Baptist Church.

Practice Schedule for the week
The Ice Pilots will not practice at the Civic Center at all this week with no ice available. The Ice Pilots will have Monday off. The Ice Pilots will practice in Biloxi on Tuesday and will have an off ice workout at the Club on Wednesday at around 10 or 11 a.m. in the morning. The Ice Pilots will <a href="http://go-acct.com?go=travel" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: travel';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">travel</a> to Columbus on Thursday and will have a pre skate on Friday in Columbus at 11 a.m. and will play at Columbus on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. central time. The Ice Pilots will <a href="http://get-certified.net?go=travel" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: travel';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">travel</a> to Beaumont, Texas after the game and play at Texas on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots are scheduled to have Sunday off.

Nominated Player of the Week
Brian Collins has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week with four goals scored over the weekend. Brian Eklund has been nominated for goalie of the week winning the game vs. Texas on Thursday 5-3.

Season Ticket Packages are available with year round payments
Full season ticket packages and 16 game packages are available with year round payments. The following is a list of the full season ticket plan with year round payments: $22 seats for floor and glass is $49.99 per month, $15 seats for sides is $35.99 per month, $13 seats for goal and lower upper level is $32.99 per month, $10 seats for upper level is $24.99 per month.

Group Tickets
Group tickets are available at the Ice Pilots office. A group of 15-24 will receive $2 off per ticket and scoreboard recognition. A group of 25-99 will receive $2 off per ticket, scoreboard recognition, the group leader receive two free tickets with a minimum of 25 tickets purchased and group members are eligible to become an MVP. Each group member fills out and MVP card, (Cards are mailed with the group tickets), and drops the card in the MVP box at customer service before the game, and has the opportunity to win a valuable prize! Groups of 100 or more will receive scoreboard recognition, two free tickets, MVP cards plus $3 off per ticket and an opportunity to perform the national anthem or participate in the ceremonial puck drop (Subject to availability and approval).

Birthday Parties
Celebrate your birthday with the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots birthday party package includes hot dogs, cokes, cake and 10 $13 lower goal game tickets, a special gift pack for the birthday person delivered by Iceman, a birthday card signed by the Ice Pilots and scoreboard recognition. Assigned Players from Tampa Bay
The Ice Pilots currently have seven players on the roster assigned from Tampa Bay. They are goalies Brian Eklund, Evgeny Konstantinov and forward Dwayne Hay. Forward Jean Francois Soucy, forward Ryan Craig and defenseman Jeremy Van Hoof and Andreas Holmqvist are also assigned from Tampa. Ryan Craig has been called up to Hershey.

Ice Pilots team up with Nextel for "Nextel Can for a Cause" vs. Mississippi on November 25th at 7:05 p.m.
The Ice pilots will host "Nextel Can for a Cause" holiday food drive when the Ice Pilots play home to Mississippi on Tuesday, November 25th at 7:05 p.m. Each fan who donates three or more nonperishable food items at the game will receive $3 off the ticket price at the box office, and will also receive an Ice Pilots, Manna Food Pantry and Nextel Rally Towel.

Kerr's Kids
This season the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite six children and their <a href="http://get-data.net?go=escorts" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: escorts';return 1" onmouseout=! "window.status=''">escorts</a> to a game. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission, a goodie bag for each child and SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. The Ice Pilots Coach's Radio show is broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on WCOA AM 1370 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Todd Gordon and members of the Ice Pilots office staff all season long. Forward Aaron Phillips and Greg Chambers will be the player guests tonight.
