LAST WEEK: The Pride went 1-1-1 last week, falling in a shootout to Roanoke and in regulation to Mississippi before ending the week with a road win against Greenville. Florence is 5-5-2 on the season for 12 points, and is tied with South Carolina for fifth place in the Southern Division, seven points behind first-place Florida.

Thursday, November 13 v. Roanoke Express 4 PRIDE 3 (SO)

The Pride fell behind quickly as the Express scored three times in the opening period. But, Florence would crawl back into the game, getting a goal by Victor Gervais with just 1:56 left in the second period. In the third period, Mike Souza brought the Pride within one scoring at the 14:13 mark, and then just 1:49 later, Shaun Sutter tied it up. After a scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout. Roanoke scored on two of its five attempts, while Florence scored just once.

Friday, November 14 v. Mississippi Sea Wolves 5 PRIDE 4

Once again, the Pride found themselves facing an early deficit, as Mississippi had a 4-1 lead six minutes into the second period. A Ryan Knox power-play goal at 15:28 of the second brought the Pride to within two, but just 36 seconds into the third period, Jim Baxter put the Wolves back up by three with a power-play tally of his own. Florence mounted a rally with Jeff Szwez scoring at 10:36 and Mike Souza at 18:53, but it was not enough to tie it.

Saturday, November 15 @ Greenville PRIDE 3 Grrrowl 2

The week's theme continued, as once again the Pride fell behind 2-0 after a Brad Fraser power-play goal 5:33 into the second period. The Pride caught a break at the 16:06 mark of the second period, as Greenville goaltender Michel Robinson misplayed the puck, giving Mike Souza a wide-open net, and making it a 2-1 game. Florence tied it just 49 seconds into the final period on an Allan Sirois power-play goal. It stayed tied until 5:11 remained in regulation, when Shaun Sutter slipped a shot past Robinson during a goal-mouth scramble, giving the Pride the victory.
