Idaho Steelheads News Release

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The Idaho Steelheads could not muster any offense in the third period, and dropped a 2-1 decision to the Las Vegas Wranglers at the Orleans Arena Saturday night.  Idaho clung to a 1-0 lead for most of the second and nearly half of the final period, before Dustin Johner tied it up at 11:37, and Adam Huxley pushed the game-winner past Colin Zulianello with only .06 seconds left on the clock.   Midway through the game, Idaho had outshot Las Vegas by a wide margin, but the Wranglers pressured the Steelheads in the third and controlled play, outshooting the visitors 28-5 in the frame.  Vegas outshot Idaho 41-26 for the game.  The Steelheads lost for the first time this season when leading after two periods.   Idaho got on the scoreboard first, at 2:11 of the second, when David Morisset's second goal in as many nights beat Vegas netminder Sebastien Centomo.  Warren Peters and Darrell Hay assisted on Morisset's fourth goal of the season.    Zulianello, in his first action since being pulled with an injury in a win over Victoria on November 6th, saw his record fall to 1-2.  Las Vegas' Centomo improved his record to 3-2.  Idaho continues its road trip on Sunday, with a 6:00 pm Mountain Standard Time game at Long Beach.
