Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Johnstown Chiefs Saturday, but then dropped a 7-1 decision to the Reading Royals in front of 2,089 at the Nutter Center Sunday night.
The Royals received goals from seven different players, and won their seventh straight game after losing their first five. "That is the best team we've seen this season, and they're playing exceptional hockey right now", said Bombers GM and Head Coach DON MacADAM. "Nobody's looking for excuses, but our guys just finished 7 games in 10 days. We just have to put this one behind us and re-group for Wednesday's game in Wheeling".

Second period goals from Ryan Kinasewich (11:57), Judd Medak (SHG, 14:52), and Graig Mischler (18:32) opened a 6-0 lead after 40 minutes. And Cail McClean made it 7-0 with another shorthanded goal at 3:35 of the third period.
Reading goaltender Cody Rudkowski recorded a 14 save shutout, 3-0, over Dayton on November 13th. MICHAEL TESSIER snapped Rudkowsky's shutout string over Dayton at 118:46 seconds when he scored his third goal of the season with 1:14 remaining. Dayton was outshot for the 13th time in 14 games this season, 37-21.
The Bombers are back in action on Wednesday when they hit the road to face the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 PM. Radio coverage on SportsOne, WONE-AM 980 begins at 7:00 PM.
