
Sea Wolves Howl Past Lynx 4-1

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi's Jason Wolfe made 36 saves to backstop the Sea Wolves to a 4-1 victory over the Augusta Lynx, who went 0-for-11 on the power play, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
"Wolfe and the penalty killing units were great tonight," Mississippi coach Bob Woods said. "It was a nice to get contribution from all three lines and finish up three games in three days on a positive note."
Augusta (4-6-1) hit stride at 7:36 of the first period. Rookie Colt King scored his first pro goal from the slot beating Jason Wolfe. Sean Connolly and Mike Sandbeck picked up assists.
Mississippi (6-6-1) tied it up less than two minutes later. Anthony Battaglia deflected a Brian Escobedo shot through Jason Saal at the 9:25 mark. Nicolas Corbeil also garnered an assist.
In the second, Louis Dumont gave the Sea Wolves the lead by netting a breakaway goal at 17:21. Corbeil collected his second helper of the game, while Battaglia received the other assist.
Mississippi put the game away with two goals 26 seconds apart in the third. Darryl Campbell scored his first goal of the year and first since April 12, 2003 with the Sea Wolves, depositing a Russ Guzior shot. Milt Mastad also received his second assist in as many games.
Travis Lisabeth followed with his third goal of the season on the backhand at 12:25. Jeff Hutchins and Pat O'Leary garnered helpers to make it 4-1 for the Sea Wolves
Mississippi failed to convert on three power play opportunities, while Augusta went 0-for-11. Lynx outshot the Sea Wolves 38-17.
The Sea Wolves remain at home for the first-ever matchup against the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:05 p.m.on Thanksgiving Thursday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Promotions include Casino Night, which offers casino employees two tickets for the price of one, by showing casino identification badge at the Coliseum box office. It's also Pack The House Night, offering all fans a $10 ticket in any section, based on availability, plus there will be a postgame jersey auction to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund following the "Thanks for Giving Game."
