North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays host the Wheeling Nailers tonight at 7:05 on Holiday Holdover Troops Night presented by the USO and Verizon Wireless at the North Charleston Coliseum. Note of the Night:
Forward Peter Boyd extended his personal point streak to five games (one goal, seven assists) last night registering a goal and an assist in the Stingrays' 3-2 victory over the Greenville Road Warriors in Greenville, South Carolina.
Rodrigues Seeing Success:
Rookie Paul Rodrigues is currently riding a four-game point streak with two goals and three assists after joining the Stingrays on December 14 (six total games played).
Standing Tall:
Goaltender Jeff Jakaitis recorded 40 saves last night against the Road Warriors, picking up his 15 win of the season and pushing his personal winning streak to seven contests. Jakaitis is first in the ECHL in goals-against average (1.72) and save percentage (.938), second in wins, fourth in minutes played (1154) and fifth in saves (498).
