
Forwards Bryson Busniuk and Dave Jarman Join Stingrays; Defenseman Steve Spinell Recalled to Provide

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that defenseman Steve Spinell has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the team signed forwards Bryson Busniuk and Dave Jarman.
Spinell, 23, appeared in one contest with the Bruins earlier this season recording no points. A rookie this season, the Vernon Hills, Illinois, native buried six points (one goal, five assists) in 27 contests with the Stingrays and leads the team with 50 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Spinell completed a four-year collegiate career at Miami University (Ohio) totaling 36 points (four goals, 32 assists) in 149 games and served as team captain his senior year.
Busniuk, 34, dressed in 43 games with the Stingrays over two seasons (2006-07, 2008-09) adding one goal and 11 assists for 12 points. In 324 career ECHL contests, the Thunder Bay, Ontario, native registered 147 points (53 goals, 94 assists) and saw action with the Stingrays, Gwinnett Gladiators, Dayton Bombers, Columbia Inferno, Pensacola Ice Pilots and Greensboro Generals. Busniuk will wear jersey #44 with the Stingrays.
Jarman, 27, appeared in two games with the Stingrays during the 2010-11 season adding no points and six penalty minutes. The Toronto, Ontario, product attended Sacred Heart University for four seasons from 2006-10 picking up 47 goals and 87 assists in 147 games. Jarman will support jersey #16.
