Sean Bergenheim Recalled By Islanders

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the recall of forward Sean Bergenheim by the big club. Bergenheim joined the Islanders for their trip to Nashville to play the Predators.

Bergenheim has two penalty minutes in one NHL game with the Islanders and 11 goals, 13 assists, 24 points and a team-high 72 penalty minutes in 36 AHL games with the Sound Tigers this season. He scored the game-tying, power-play goal with one second left in regulation in the Sound Tigers' dramatic 4-3 shootout win over the Hershey Bears at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard this past Friday.

The Sound Tigers will finish a five-game homestand when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack this Wednesday at 7:35 p.m. All Sound Tigers games are web-cast live at www.soundtigers.com.
