Capitals Call Up Forbes

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the NHL's Washington Capitals that forward Colin Forbes has been recalled to the NHL club. The BEARS also announced today that defenseman Deryk Engelland has been recalled from South Carolina (ECHL). The transactions were announced today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Forbes was acquired on December 28 by Washington from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Stephen Peat. In five games played for HERSHEY since the trade, Forbes has two goals and assisted on another for three points. The recall for Engelland is his second this season to HERSHEY. The Chetwynd, BC native has appeared in two games for HERSHEY this season, accumulating 22 penalty minutes.

The BEARS play at Springfield Wednesday night at Mass Mutual Center at 7:05 p.m. before traveling to Hartford to face the Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. HERSHEY returns home this Saturday to face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:00 p.m. before taking on the Norfolk Admirals Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for this weekend's games are available through the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
