Dagenais assigned to Bulldogs

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has assigned forward Pierre Dagenais to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Dagenais, 27, has played in 32 games with the Canadiens this season, collecting 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) and 16 penalty minutes. He has played in 142 career NHL games, posting 58 points (35 goals, 23 assists).

The 6'5'', 218-pound native of Blainville, Quebec, played 7 games in Switzerland last season for Ajoie, posting 10 points (five goals, five assists) and 12 penalty minutes.

He played 20 games with the Bulldogs in 2003-04, recording 21 points (12 goals, nine assists) and 19 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs next action will take place on Friday, January 13, when they face the Syracuse Crunch at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. This game can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
