
Bulldogs launch new marketing campaign

The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced a new marketing campaign today that is centered around the concept âThis is Your Team'.
The initiatives announced include the âHamilton Spectator All-Decade Team', the all-new âHamilton Bulldogs Extreme Team' and CHTV's âTell Us Why This is Your Team' and 820 CHAM "The Legend's" âThis is Your Sign'. The Bulldogs also announced a number of contests including âThis is Your Jersey', âThis is Your Ticket', and âNew Year, New Cheer'.
"We are very excited about the marketing initiatives unveiled today and are very happy that many of our media and corporate partners have joined us in these endeavours," stated Brian Lewis, the Bulldogs' Executive Director of Operations. "These initiatives are designed to give our fans input into many of the team's marketing ideas and allow them to show why the Bulldogs are their team."
Other marketing endeavours announced today were the first ever Hamilton Bulldogs Casino Night and a free ticket for children born in 1996.
Many of the initiatives will culminate when the Bulldogs hold âThis is Your Team Night' on Wednesday, February 15, when Hamilton faces the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum (7:30 p.m.). The Bulldogs will wear special jerseys for this game, which will celebrate the team's 10th Anniversary Season.
Below is a list of initiatives that are part of the Hamilton Bulldogs âThis is Your Team' marketing campaign that was announced today.
âHAMILTON SPECTATOR ALL-DECADE TEAM'
Fans will have the chance to vote for their all-time favourite Hamilton Bulldogs players as part of the âHamilton Spectator All-Decade Team'. Ballots will be available in the Hamilton Spectator and will include a $5 off ticket offer. Present your ballot at the Copps Coliseum Box Office or drop it off during Bulldogs games at the Customer Service Booth, which is located behind section 116 on the Copps Coliseum Concourse. When fans submit their ballot, they will receive a coupon valid for a 2-for-1 ticket on Wednesday, February 15 when the Bulldogs face the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, at Copps Coliseum (7:30 p.m.). At the game on February 15, the City of Hamilton and the Hamilton Spectator will announce the Hamilton Bulldogs' All-Decade Team. Fans will choose three forwards, two defencemen, one goalie, one enforcer, and one coach from the list of nominees over four weeks of voting. The nominees at each position are:

HAMILTON BULLDOGS EXTREME TEAM
The Bulldogs are pleased to announce the addition of the âHamilton Bulldogs Extreme Team', which is comprised of students from McMaster University. The Extreme Team will be out in the community with coupons in hand promoting various marketing initiatives and showing the public why this is their team!
CHTV'S âTELL US WHY THIS IS YOUR TEAM'
Fans will have a chance to tell CHTV and the Bulldogs why this is their team! Between February 6 and February 12, fans logging onto www.hamiltonbulldogs.com will be able to say why the Bulldogs are their team. Fans completing the online entry form will then receive a $5 off coupon for the Bulldogs game on Wednesday, February 15 when the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, visit Copps Coliseum (7:30 p.m.) courtesy of CHTV. The most creative entry will be announced live on CH Morning Live on February 12. The winner will receive an autographed Bulldogs team jersey, four (4) tickets to the February 15 game, four (4) CH Sweatshirts, and along with 3 guests, they will get to meet a Bulldogs player after the game.
820 CHAM "THE LEGEND'S" âTHIS IS YOUR SIGN' CONTEST
Fans are encouraged to bring a sign to the Bulldogs game on Wednesday, February 15 when the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies visit Copps Coliseum (7:30 p.m.), and show the judges why the Bulldogs are their team! Hold it, wear it, wave it, and show it off on the scoreboard!
The fan that has the best sign will win a trip for four (4) to watch the 2006-07 Montreal Canadiens Home Opener along with $500 spending money.
Fans can visit the 820 CHAM DODGE RAM outside of Copps Coliseum with their sign to receive a coupon for $5 dollars off a ticket to the game.
âTHIS IS YOUR JERSEY' CONTEST
Fans will have a chance to design a specialty jersey that will be worn by the Bulldogs for one game during the 2006-07 season. Entry forms will be available in the Hamilton Spectator and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. Any fans interested in designing a jersey can submit their entry at the Copps Coliseum Box Office or during Bulldogs games at the Customer Service Booth. Entries will be posted on the Bulldogs' website and fans will vote to pick the winning design. Voting will run from February 1 to February 12.
âTHIS IS YOUR TICKET' CONTEST
Beginning March 1, fans will have a chance to design the Hamilton Bulldogs Season Tickets for the 2006-07 season by drawing a design on the official contest entry form and submitting it to the Bulldogs office. Entry forms are available at Copps Coliseum Box Office, the Bulldogs Office, and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. Entry forms can be dropped off at Copps Coliseum Box Office or during Bulldogs games at the Customer Service Booth. The winner will be announced at the Bulldogs game on April 1, when the Manchester Monarchs visit Copps Coliseum (7:00 p.m.). Each winner will receive four tickets to a Bulldogs game during the 2006-07 season and a framed copy of their design.
âNEW YEAR, NEW CHEER' CONTEST
Students from Grades 4 - 6 are invited to create a cheer to support the Bulldogs, and submit a tape of their class performing the cheer on video to the Bulldogs Office. This contest will run from January 11 to January 31. The three finalists will perform their cheer on Wednesday, February 15, when the Bulldogs host the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. The winner will be announced after the performances and will receive a plaque of achievement, the chance to watch a Bulldogs practice, a tour of Copps Coliseum, and food coupons valid at Swiss Chalet and McDonald's.
âTHIS IS YOUR CASINO NIGHT'
Fans will have a chance to put their cards on the table and throw the dice!
The Hamilton Bulldogs are hosting their first ever Casino Night on Tuesday, February 21 at the beautiful LIUNA Station, which is located at 360 James Street North in Hamilton. The event will run from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
Fans can join some of their favourite Bulldogs players for an evening of fun and try their luck at various casino style games including Blackjack, Craps, Crown and Anchor, Wild Horse Race and Texas Hold'em!
Tickets to the Casino Night are $25 and include hors d'heuvres. A cash bar is available. Proceeds will support of the Hamilton Bulldogs Youth Fund.

FREE TICKETS FOR CHILDREN BORN IN 1996
All children who were born in 1996 that attend the Bulldogs game on Wednesday, February 15 when the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, visit Copps Coliseum will receive a coupon for a FREE Child ticket to any future regular season Hamilton Bulldogs home game! Children can get their coupon by bringing their birth certificate or another piece of identification that shows their birth date to the Customer Service Booth during Bulldogs games.
SPECIALITY JERSEY
On Wednesday, February 15, when the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, visit Copps Coliseum, the Bulldogs will wear special jerseys. The jerseys will commemorate the team's 10th Anniversary Season.
