The Cleveland Barons come into Tuesday's game with a 18-22-1-1 record. Their 38 points, has them sixth in the seven team North Division--- The Barons most recent action saw them garner a 5-4 overtime win at home against Manitoba on Sunday. Cleveland scored three goals in the second, including a shorthanded goal by Lukas Kasper--- Patrick Rissmiller paces the Barons with 33 points, including a team-high 23 assists--- Matt Carkner leads the team with 95 penalty minutes--- Cleveland's penalty-kill is 26th in the 27 team AHL, allowing 54 goals in 254 mandown situations. Their 78.7 percentage has them tied with Hamilton. Cleveland's power-play is ranked 19th with a 15.1% success rate--- On the road, Cleveland has a 6-12-0-1 record with 13 points--- Rookie Steve Bernier is ranked seventh among all AHL rookies with 32 points, including 15 goals. He is just five points behind the leading rookie point-getter: Pat O'Sullivan.

Broadcasts: Jason Shaver on AM 940; B2 Video on iowastarshockey.com The Stars and Houston meet for the third and fourth time this season, with all four meetings occurring in Texas--- At print time, the Aeros are first in the West Division and their 54 points has them 3rd overall in the AHL--- They are 15-3-1-1 with 32 points on home ice--- In eight games when they needed extra time, the Aeros have posted a 6-1-1 record--- Erik Westrum and Kirby Law are second and third, respectively, in the AHL scoring race. Westrum has 50 points, while Law has 49. The League leader, Jiri Hudler from Grand Rapids has 51 points. Westrum recently had an 11-game point-streak snapped. From November 30th - December 30th, he had four goals and 13 assists--- Houston's Josh Harding leads the AHL with 20 wins and is fifth overall with a .921 Save Percentage. Iowa's Mike Smith and Dan Ellis are fourth and sixth, respectively--- Houston lost 6-5 to Grand Rapids on Friday. They host Toronto on Tuesday night.

- Right Wing Junior Lessard was named the AHL Player of the Week for the period ending January 8th, 2006. Lessard registered three goals and three assists in two Stars games last week: 2(3/3/6)+2. Lessard also established a new Stars record by notching five points in a single game: (2/3/5). He also set a new record by registering four points in a period: (2/2/4).
- Forward Toby Petersen leads the team with 28 points: (11/17/28). Petersen was the first Stars player to record double-digits in terms of goals. He accomplished this feat on Thursday, January 5th. Petersen has notched at least one point in 21 of the Stars 25 games.
- Stars goalies Mike Smith and Dan Ellis are ranked fourth and sixth in the AHL when it comes to Save Percentage. Smith has .922 save percentage, while Ellis checks in at .921. Smith is seated sixth with his 2.34 Goals Against Average and Ellis sits 12th with his 2.57 GAA.
- The Stars are a perfect 5-0 against the Chicago Wolves this season, outscoring them 18-7.

NOTES: The Iowa Stars traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday night for the team's sixth meeting of the season against the Admirals. Iowa was unable to hold on to a 2-0 lead, ultimately falling to the AHL's seventh ranked team, 4-2, with the fourth goal coming via an empty-net. Center Toby Petersen scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season, becoming the first Stars player to register double-digits in goals. Junior Lessard registered his eighth marker of the season. Janos Vas picked-up an assist on the goal. Vas had previously missed 11 games with an injury. Thursday's game featured the return of defensemen Shawn Belle and Patrick Traverse to the Stars lineup. The blueliners missed 13 games and 16 games with injuries, respectively.

NOTES: The Iowa Stars wrapped-up their short two-game road trip with a trip to Chicago to take on the Wolves on Saturday night. The Stars used three power-play goals to defeat the Wolves, 5-1, pushing their record to 5-0 against Chicago. Forward Junior Lessard potted his ninth goal of the season at 13:58 of the first period. Lessard's power-play goal was his second goal in as many games. The 6- 0, 200 pound winger registered his 10th goal of the season just :23 seconds in the second period. Lessard surpassed Patrick Traverse, recording a franchise-high five points in a single game: (2/3/5). Lessard also set a new record for most points in single period with four: (1/3/4). Goaltender Mike Smith had his bid for his third shutout of the season snapped when Chicago's Pat Dwyer scored at 11:26 of the third period. Smith faced 36 shots en-route to his ninth win of the season. Lessard was named the Number One Star of the Game, while Smith earned the Number Two honors.
