Oshawa Generals News Release

The Oshawa Generals have announced that defenceman Sean Allen has been acquired from the Kitchener Rangers for a 3rd and 10th round draft pick.

"Allen is a big rugged defenceman who takes care of his end," says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "He also gives us another '98 defenceman on our roster along with Riley Stillman. Allen's style of play is similar to our Oshawa Generals defence first style, and I look forward to seeing him in a Generals sweater soon."

Sean Allen is a 6'2", 185 lbs. defenceman from Puslinch, Ontario. The Kitchener Rangers originally drafted Allen in the third round of the 2014 OHL Priority section, coming from the Guelph Jr. Gryphons program.

Last year Allen played six games with the Rangers and 38 games with the Kitchener Dutchmen where he collected two goals, fives assist for seven points. This year Allen has played nine games with the Rangers collecting three assists for three points and ten penalty minutes.

Sean Allen is expected to join the Generals this weekend.
