The Owen Sound Attack is announcing that they have acquired defenseman Trenton Bourque from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for defenseman Jarett Meyer.

Bourque, a 17 year old rearguard was a 3rd round draft pick of the Wolves in the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. The 6'2, 195lb Burlington native has appeared in 58 OHL contests, tallying 3 points and 30 Penalty Minutes.

"Trenton was a player we really liked in his draft year.", stated Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray. "We feel that he has the potential to be an impact player for us down the road and will fit in quite nicely on our backend."

Meyer, 19 leaves the Attack after appearing in 62 games over two seasons. The 6'9 West Sayville, NY native joined the Attack as a free agent in 2014 and attended the Detroit Red Wings rookie camp this past fall.

"Jarett is a great young man and has progressed tremendously as a player.", said DeGray. "This is a great opportunity for him as well and we wish him nothing but the best."

Trenton will wear #17 and will join the Attack in Kitchener this evening.
