Attack Ready for Weekend Clash with Knights and Storm

OWEN SOUND, ON - The Owen Sound Attack are set for another busy weekend of Ontario Hockey League action, with a pair of games on the schedule against the London Knights and Guelph Storm.

The weekend gets underway Friday night when the Attack travel to Canada Life Place to take on the London Knights, before returning to the Bayshore on Saturday night to take on the Guelph Storm. Both games are at 7pm.

Owen Sound enters the weekend with a 1-1 record after splitting its opening home-and-home series with the Kitchener Rangers. Captain Pierce Mbuyi scored the game-winning goal with just 2:54 remaining in Friday's season opener, while goaltender Ryerson Leenders turned aside all 29 shots he faced to record the shutout.

The Knights opened their season with a pair of victories, sweeping their home-and-home series with the Windsor Spitfires. London won 3-2 in overtime on opening night before earning a 6-2 victory in Windsor the following night.

Friday's game will be the first meeting between the Attack and Knights this season.

BACK HOME SATURDAY

Following Friday night's road contest, the Attack will return to the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Saturday night to host the Guelph Storm at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday marks the first of eight meetings between the Attack and Storm and first of four at the Bayshore this season.

Guelph enters the weekend looking to get into the win column after dropping its first two games of the regular season. The Storm were defeated 5-1 by the Erie Otters on opening night before falling 6-0 to the Brantford Bulldogs the following evening.

ROSTER UPDATES

With Elliot Arnett (Tampa Bay), Lucian Bernat (Vancouver) and Harry Nansi (Toronto) having all been returned to the club by their respective NHL teams, and expected in the line up this weekend, the Attack have reassigned forward Matt Zilinski to the Collingwood Blues of the OJHL and forward Alex Taylor to the Caledonia Corvairs of the GOJHL.

Tickets for Saturday night's game at the Bayshore can be purchased in person or over the phone at the MacVicar & McComb Sutton Realty Attack Box Office or online at tickets.attackhockey.com.

Fans unable to attend either game this weekend can follow all the action live on 89.3 CFOS, with the pre-game show beginning at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be available for streaming on FloHockey and live on television on Rogers Television Grey County Channel 53.
