Wolves Ink 2026 Third-Round Selection Shayden Hintenberger

(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) - The Sudbury Wolves have signed left shot defenseman Shayden Hintenberger to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The 6-foot-3 native of Port Colborne, Ontario, was selected by the Wolves in the third round, 44th overall, in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.
Hintenberger spent his draft year with The Hill Academy U16 AAA team, recording five goals and 33 assists for 38 points in 60 games.
Sudbury Wolves General Manager Rob Papineau had this to say about the signing:
"Shayden had a great camp, and we are excited to have him sign with our hockey club. He will be a big piece of our back end in the near future. He is a big, physical defender who has great feet and mobility. He has a big year ahead of him in Milton as he makes the transition to junior hockey."
Hintenberger will spend the 2026-27 season with the Milton Menace of the OJHL.
