Portland Sea Dogs News Release

Portland, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, have announced that Sea Dogs' relief pitcher Madison Younginer has be added to the Eastern Division roster for the 2015 Sullivan Tire All-Star Classic, which will take place at Hadlock Field on Wednesday, July 15th, at 7:00 PM.

Younginer will replace Binghamton pitcher Luis Cessa, who was recently promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas. With the addition of Younginer, the Sea Dogs now have six All-Star representatives. Younginger joins teammates Carlos Asuaje, William Cuevas, Marco Hernandez, Robby Scott, and Jantzen Witte.

Younginer, 24, is 3-3 with a 3.05 ERA (44.1 IP, 15 ER, 36 H, 16 BB, 32 SO) in 24 relief appearances this season - his first in Double-A after making one playoff appearance last season. The right hander was a seventh round pick of the Boston Red Sox in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Mauldin High School in Mauldin, South Carolina. He recently became the fifth pitcher in Sea Dogs' history to post a 0.00 ERA over an entire month (min. 50 batters faced), which he accomplished in June.

Limited tickets for the Sullivan Tire All-Star Classic are available and can be purchased by visiting the Sea Dogs' Ticket Office at Hadlock Field, calling 800-936-3647, or online at seadogs.com.

The Hadlock Field gates will open at 3:00 PM on July 15th. Festivities include autograph session with the all-stars presented by the Asylum Sports Bar & Grill, the Electricity Maine Home Run Derby, and a post-game fireworks show presented by Coca-Cola.

The All-Star Classic will be televised regionally throughout New England on NESN with Tom Caron and Mike Antonellis on the call, via the web on MiLB.tv, and on radio on 95.5 and 95.9 FM WPEI, as well as online via the TuneIn Radio app.
